Crystal Slayer Guide
Requirements
- 70 Slayer level
- Recommended: Elven Signet (automatically collects crystal shards)
- 1,000,000 coins to purchase a task from the Elf Tracker
Getting Started
The Elf Tracker can be found in two locations:
- Near the Slayer Masters in Home
- At the entrance to the Crystal Cavern
The Elf Tracker will assign you a Crystal Slayer task for 1,000,000 coins.
Accessing the Crystal Cavern
You can teleport to the Crystal Cavern using your spellbook:
- Open your spellbook
- Navigate to: Dungeons → Crystal Cavern
Instance Options
When entering the cavern, you will have three options:
- Regular - Allows cannons, shared with other players
- No Cannon - Cannons not permitted, shared with other players
- Premium - Your own private instance

Valuable Drops
The primary reasons to complete Crystal Slayer tasks are:
- Crystal Shards - These can be crushed with a pestle and mortar to create dust, which is used to make divine potions
- Crystalline Keys - Can be used to challenge Hunleff or sold on the Grand Exchange
- Crystal Armor - Powerful gear with unique bonuses
Crystalline Key Upgrade
You can upgrade Crystalline Keys without fighting Hunleff:
- Use the ::upgrade command
- OR visit the anvil in Home
- Cost: 5,000,000 coins

The Hunleff Boss Fight
Preparation
IMPORTANT: Once you enter the Hunleff instance, you cannot leave without losing your key.
Requirements:
- At least 2 combat styles (melee and ranged recommended)
- Minimum gear: Barrows or Void equipment
- Potions: Overloads/Divine Super Combat and Divine Ranging (or regular potions)
- Sufficient prayer potions/super restores
- Plenty of high-healing food
Fight Mechanics
- Hunleff always starts with Protect from Melee, so begin with ranged attacks
- After taking a certain amount of damage, Hunleff will switch prayers
- You must switch your attack style to whatever Hunleff is not protecting against
- There is no way to completely avoid damage in this fight
Rewards
Upon defeating Hunleff, you will receive a Hunleff Key, which opens the red chest in the Crystal Caverns.
Tip: You can use a 15% chest rate boost to increase your chances of valuable rewards!
